The Two-Dimensional Gel Electrophoresis Laboratory of Geneva, Switzerland, is running a highly reproducible method for the two-dimensional separation of proteins. The laboratory now provides a 2-D PAGE service to which you may send your samples for analysis. This service includes analytical and preparative high-resolution 2-D PAGE, electrotransfer on membranes and/or amino acid composition (Disclaimer).

SWISS-2DSERVICE analyses

  1. Analytical 2-D PAGE and ammoniacal silver detection
  2. Preparative 2-D PAGE and electrotransfer onto membranes (nitrocellulose or PVDF)
  3. Amino acid composition analysis and similarity search in SWISS-PROT
  4. Analytical and preparative 2-D PAGE followed by amino acid composition analysis and similarity search in SWISS-PROT

SWISS-2DSERVICE analyses are performed according to the same protocols and standards as those used for the SWISS-2DPAGE reference maps.
