Tools we use at CNAM for the Web server
- accents
- A very short script to translate the most common (in French)
ISO Latin-1
characters to HTML escape sequences. The distribution is a simple Perl
script and is here.
We don't use it any more. It's
much better to use the
charconv program (use Archie to find an other location if the site is overloaded).
- url_get
- A script to retrieve URLs in "batch" (in "line mode"). The distribution
(in compressed tar) can be retrieved by
selecting this one.
But you may prefer the
official distribution.
- token_server
- This is a program to limit access to some famous services. Client programs
ask for tokens which are granted if there are not already too many of them.
You can see
it here. A more complete documentation (
in French only) is here.
- CNAM HTTP server
- We use a server which was developed locally. The tar file of the source
of the server is not anymore available, because it was too much work to
make a package for each new version of the server.
Our Web server has nice load control abilities.
