By telephone - to reach people or offices who have a four-digit "extension" number, Carleton University has an "automated attendant" telephone system which allows touch-tone users to call 520-2600 and enter the four-digit extension over the recorded voice message. The user with a dial-type telephone may remain on the line for connection to an Information Carleton operator who will assist in the connection to any number at Carleton. Information Carleton has a general information number (613) 520-7400. Operators will assist callers in finding phone, fax, office numbers, event information as well as a large variety of other information. Information Carleton operates on Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m to 6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
