The Silicon Graphics Advantage at a Remarkably Low Price

lndy is the newest addition to the Indigo family of desktop workstations, which combines the key elements of workgroup collaboration, interactive media, and computing. Indy delivers high-performance CPU and graphics with fullfeatured integrated digital media at a remarkably low price point.

Incredible Performance

Experience incredible high-end application performance along with 2D and 3D image manipulation. The lndy workstation's fast application performance is based upon a high bandwidth 64-bit system architecture featuring the MIPS RISC R4X00 CPU technology, 267MB/sec system bus, and 400MB/sec memory bus.

Graphics Choices from the Leader in Visual Computing

The Indy XL graphics subsystem, offering 8-bit or 24-bit color, delivers amazing 2D and 3D graphics, X 11, and imaging performance. Indy XL graphics use the CPU and system memory for 2D and 3D geometry capabilities and Z-buffering to deliver unmatched CPU-accelerated graphics. For those who need even greater 3D performance, there's Indy XZ, which dedicates 128 MFLOPS of power to 3D work.

Unrivalled Digital Media

Indy allows you to work easily with 3D graphics, photorealistic images, real-time video and CD-quality audio. Standard tools such as IndyCam color digital video camera, integrated video, MediaMail software, and options such as desktop conferencing and Indy Video, allow you to capture, create, and communicate your ideas.

Indigo Magic User Environment

The full digital media capability of Indy increases your productivity with Indigo Magic, a new generation desktop user environment. Indigo Magic goes beyond the traditional GUI by providing the first Media User Interface incorporating audio, video, and graphics.

Indy Works Well with Others

Indy excels in heterogeneous environments with servers, PCs, or Macintosh. Indy supports PC and Macintosh client software for Netware and AppleTalk networks, supports third-party PC and Macintosh emulation packages, and accepts PC and Macintosh 3.5" floppies.

Flexible and Expandable

Configure Indy to meet your needs. CPU and graphics modules are configurable and memory and disk are upgradable.

Designed for the Most Demanding Applications

With support for over 1,800 applications, binary compatibility with other Silicon Graphics systems, and a rich feature set, Indy is the ideal choice for many markets:
