Ei SiGraf's SiGnet RR2000 Remote Router provides an affordable low cost/high performance solution for interconnecting remotely located Ethernet TCP/IP LANs. RR2000 interconnects remote LANs over slip, proprietary SiGp (HDLC like) or (optionally) X.25 links. RR2000 extends LAN features and functions across wide area networks (WANs) in a way that is fully compatible with TCP/IP based applications. The RR2000 Remote Router is ideal for connecting remote TCP/IP - only subnets to multiprotocol routers attached to backbone segments. Because LAN traffic is routed rather than bridged, remote performances are improved since only essential network traffic is forwarded over the WAN link.

Protocols

SiGnet RR2000 Remote Router supports TCP/IP Ethernet LAN protocols, as well as slip, proprietary SiGp (HDLC like), and (optionally) X.25 WAN protocols.

Connectivity

SiGnet RR2000 Remote Router is available with up to 2 Ethernet LAN connections and up to 4 serial RS 232C WAN connections.

Simple to Install and Operate

The SiGnet RR2000 is a plug and play device. Status light provide continuous local display of LAN activity, router status and link activity. The router may be configured through the network from a remote management station or locally from an console terminal attached to the serial port.

Low Cost / High Performance

The SiGnet RR2000 is a low cost, highly reliable, high performance remote router. Its performance is limited only by the speed of the communications link.
