Silicon Graphics Developer Program
Silicon Graphics Developer Program
We created the Silicon Graphics Developer Program to make it easy for you to
design, optimize, and market visual computing applications for Silicon Graphics
systems. Built around the principle of mutual success, the Silicon Graphics
Developer Program will fuel your growth by facilitating the timely delivery
of products to a mainstream market.
You'll be able to purchase Silicon Graphics systems with significant discounts.
We also offer worldwide porting centers where you can test
your applications and consult with Silicon Graphics' engineers.
We'll keep the channels of communication open with DevEdge, and email
publication providing the latest company, product, market, and technical
information. Developer News, a technical and marketing newsletter, is a
bimonthly source for product information, sample code, and answers to frequently
asked questions. And the Developer Response Center is accessible 24 hours a day,
seven days a week to respond to your program and porting related questions - via
phone, email, or fax.
You'll receive the Developer Toolbox CD-ROM, updated quarterly, that includes
a variety of valuable development tools, utilities, and Silicon Graphics' source
code. This software and information is intended for use by beginning and
advanced programmers.
The Developer Forum and multi-tiered training programs give you a unique
opportunity to meet with Silicon Graphics engineers and other developers for an
up-close look at new product development.
When you're ready to bring your product to market, we'll provide a wide range of
promotional support. Your products will be listed in the
Silicon Graphics Applications Directory
with worldwide distribution. You'll have the opportunity
to distribute your product literature to our marketing and sales groups as well
as to other developers. Available for an additional fee, the Hot Mix CD-ROM
gives you an "inside" selling opportunity to get your products in the hands of
more than 25,000 Silicon Graphics customers.
The Silcion Graphics Developer Program offers support in three critical
areas:product development, ongoing communications, and marketing assistance.
Membership in the program is your gateway to additional Silicon Graphics services
such as engineering assistance and dedicated phone support.
We also offer the Einstein Kit to developers whose products complement and take
advantage of the EISA expandability provided by the Indigo2 and CHALLENGE M
server. Developers interested in the GIO bus specification will be provided with
the necessary documents. In addition, Silicon Graphics' operating system supports
the MIPS ABI. Applications ported to the MIPS ABI can run on any other MIPS
ABI-compliant system.
