X-15 OPERATIONS FLIGHT REPORT

I. Discussion of Previous Operations
 

None


II. Aircraft Configuration Changes
 

A. Number 2 APU metering valve was changed (ref: Flight Report 3-43-66).

B. The APU tanks were changed due to amount of bladder leakage being slightly greater than allowable. These were the original Teflon bladders and will be replaced by Teflon bladders (Vicon used on #l system due to unavailability of built-up Teflon tank when change was made).

C. Cabin seal regulator was changed.


III. Instrument Configuration Changes
 

A. Radiometer (Exp. 3A) was removed from the tailcone box, radiometer (Exp. 3B) and scanner (Exp. 4) was put in the tailcone box.

B. The following BLN microphones were added:

(1) On blowout panel, aft end of LH side fairing.

(2) On lower LH aft BLN panel, the rake was not installed.

IV. Preflight Events A. APU-BCS runs were made on June 21, 1965. An engine run was not made due to satisfactory operation on the previous flight.

B. The aircraft was mated on June 24, 1965.

C. Flight was canceled for uprange weather on June 25, 1965, after H202 service.

V. Flight Events A. During B-52 climbout, the cabin did not pressurize until the ram air door was cycled. This system will be thoroughly gone over.

B. Flight 3-44-67 was satisfactorily accomplished on June 29, 1965 with no other problems.
