NOTES:

1. q vernier will be set at 30°, a crosspointer will null at 15°.

2. Emergency Lake: Grapevine, Cuddeback.

3. Flight Duration: Approximately 10 minutes.

4. Flight plan based on 59,500# thrust at 100%. Engine #108.

Total burn time at 100% T (59,500#) = 86.7 sec.

Launch wt. = 34,250# B.O. Wt. = 15,130# Landing wt = 14,845#

c.g = 20.1 c.g. = 16.5 c.g. = 17.6

In-flight jettison check (accounted for in weights and burn time).

5. Select: Precision attitudes

Pitch = 0° (90.0)

Roll = 0° (90.0)

Heading = 168°

GROUND RULES FOR NO LAUNCH: 1. Radio, Radar or TM malfunction.

2. Malfunction of any SAS channel.

3. Malfunction of inertial platform.

4. Malfunction of Ball Nose.

5. Malfunction of both BCS.

6. Partial loss of ablative material on horizontal tail.

ALTERNATE SITUATIONS AFTER LAUNCH:

Failure

Action

1. Radio or Radar 1. Proceed as planned.

2. Total pitch damper 2. Pushover to a = 2° at h = 53K (Hdot = 800 fps). Maintain a = 2° until shutdown. Proceed as planned. (Pull-up after shutdown at Hdot = 600 fps).

3. Total roll damper 3. Turn Yaw Damper OFF. Same as No. 2.

4. Total Yaw Damper 4. Same as No. 2.

5. Failure to ASAS 5. Proceed as planned.

6. Attitude failure 6. Use a = 5° a in place of q = 30° at 22 seconds. Proceed as planned at Pilot's discretion.

7. Ball nose failure 7. Rotate slowly to 2g. Do not perform pull-up or Damper OFF maneuvers. Fly Hdot = -300 to C.B. and Hdot = -400 with full S.B. to Edwards.

8. Inertial failure 8. Proceed as planned at pilot's discretion.

9. Delayed light 9. Rotate at 2g. Pushover to 0g at h = 56K. Proceed as planned.

  INADVERTENT ENGINE SHUTDOWN:

00 - 43 sec. Mud

43 - 64 sec. Grapevine (2500 fps)

64 - 69 sec. Cuddeback (3900 fps)
