Welcome, ladies
and gentlemen, to the X-15 30th anniversary celebration. I'm pleased to be the
program chair man. My name is Ken Hodge. This afternoon we are having a
technical symposium, and if we run it right, we will be done at 5:30 in time for
those of you who are going to the banquet and pilots' panel this evening to get
there in plenty of time. So now to the symposium. Our first speaker is Dr. Dale
Compton, Deputy Director of the Ames Research Center, and he will provide a
welcome to all of you who are our guests today.
