Ben Strider, President

Ben Strider first came to Mountain Home in 1978 with his parents. He graduated as a Mountain Home Bomber in 1986.  He received his engineering degree in 1992 from the University of Houston and his MBA from Arkansas State University.  Ben has been married 20 years and is a deacon at the Mountain Home Church of Christ. His wife, Laura, is a fourth grade teacher at Guy Berry Intermediate School where his son, Hayden, also attends school.  In addition to their son, Ben and Laura also have two daughters, Katy and Lauren who attend Mountain Home Junior High School.  Ben owns Strider Consulting, Inc., a civil engineering/surveying company and is a licensed engineer in both Arkansas and North Carolina.   He was elected to the school board in September 2009 and currently serves on the district Classified Personnel Policy Committee.

Lisa House, Vice President

Lisa Petrino House is a long time resident of Mountain Home, graduating from Mountain Home High School in 1986.  Lisa has been married 17 years to Dick House and together they have three boys who all attend Mountain Home Schools.  Lisa stays busy running her boys to extracurricular activities as well as working in the family owned business, General Water Conditioning.  She is a member of Saint PeterÆs Church, Elks Lodge and Women Investing Together Club of the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce.  Lisa was elected to the school board in September 2009 and currently serves as a Mentor in the Career Academy at Mountain Home High School and on the Technology Committee.

Jason Schmeski, Secretary 

Jason Schmeski was elected to the board in 2008.  He serves on the Finance Committee.

Neal Pendergrass

Neal has lived in this area all his life and has been employed at Baxter Healthcare since 1975.  He is currently the injection molding process superintendent in the Mountain Home facility.  Neal is a certified plastics master molder and is certified to teach plastic processing.  Neal was the volunteer youth director at Riverlake Lanes for 18 years and serves on both the local and state USBC youth board of directors.  Neal is a senior member of the Society of Plastics Engineers and serves as president of the Arkansas chapter.  He is currently the District 9 Justice of the Peace on the Baxter County Quorum Court. Neal has been married to his wife Devona for 36 years and they have 2 sons.  Wesley (class of 2002) is a graduate of the University of Nebraska in Kearney and the University of Minnesota-St. Paul. Turner (class of 2008) is an engineering student at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. Neal was elected to the board in 1999 and has served as board president, secretary, and vice-president.  He currently serves as the board representative on the Curriculum Committee.  Neal also serves as the Region 2 director on the Arkansas School Boards Association Board of Directors.
