Henry Hubbard and Steve Gunter have over 40 years total mechanic experience.  The two mechanics maintain and service 53 buses as well as all the maintenance fleet and all lawn tractors for the district.

  • The Transportation fleet consists of:

                 Special Needs Buses - 5

              84 Passenger Activity Buses û 3

              Regular Route Buses û 45

  • Our buses run approximately 2,400 miles around Mountain Home and in Baxter County daily.  The number of students transported daily varies between 2,200 and 2,300 or approximately 56% of the student enrollment.
  • All route buses are equipped with two-way radios and video cameras
  • In inclement weather buses travel ôsnow routesö.  These are the routes that do not leave the main highways.  Parents are informed at the beginning of the school year the roads that will be traveled on snow days.  We try to notify the radio stations in the area by 6:00 a.m. on snow days so parents are aware of the locations the students will be picked up in the morning and dropped off in the afternoon.
