gifted and talented:

The Arkansas Department of Education states in its Program Approval Standards for Gifted and Talented Education Programs that:

ôGifted and talented children and youth are those of high potential or ability whose learning characteristics and educational need require qualitatively differentiated educational experiences or services.

Possession of these talents and gifts, or the potential for their development, will be evidenced through an interaction of above average intellectual ability, task commitment and/or motivation, and creative ability.ö

ôGifted means better at, not better than.ö  10th grade AEGIS participant

ôI reckon thereÆs as much human nature in some folks as there is in others, if not more.ö
