UNDCP was established in December 1990 General Assembly 45/179 of 21 December 1990 as the single UN body responsible for international actions for drug abuse control. UNDCP provides advice, support and secretariat services to the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) and the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB). It carries out technical cooperation programmes in more than 50 countries around the world.
