National Park Service Planning


The National Park Service will conduct planning activites to evaluate possible addtions to the national park system; to identify how park resources will be preserved and how parks will be used and developed to provide for public enjoyment; to facilitate coordination with other agencies and interests; and to involve the public in decision making about park resources, activities, and facilities. NPS plans will represent the Park Service's commitment to the public and to Congress of how parks will be managed.
