USGS World Wide Web - Mosaic Training

World Wide Web - Mosaic Training

The National Information Infrastructure is providing many new opportunities for federal agencies to improve customer service. One of the new technologies now available through the INTERNET allows individual agencies to disseminate information on demand to an estimated 35 million customers. The technology is called the World Wide Web (WWW) and is accessed through programs like NCSA Mosaic written at the University of Illinois--National Center for Supercomputing Applications. The U.S. Geological Survey is pleased to welcome you to this workshop which is intended to give you an overview of the WWW and Mosaic from the perspective of a Federal agency presenting itself electronically. You will have the resources through materials presented on the WWW to construct your own training course for others in your agency.
