Japan Technology Program

A Program of the U.S. Department of Commerce

The Japan Technology Program carries out the mandates of the Japanese Technical Literature Act of 1986, and the U.S.-Japan Science and Technology Agreement of 1988 for the U.S. Department of Commerce. It is part of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy in the Technology Administration. It was established in 1987 as the Japanese Technical Literature Program, and with the creation of Technology Administration, renamed the Japan Technology Program.
