System Performance Engineering Analysis Group
The Group conducts research and contributes to standards development on telecommunications networks that integrate both a variety of services and a variety of transmission systems and end-user terminals. The digital and analog services include data, voice, video, and others. Programs in telecommunications system planning, performance assessment, technical standards development and testing, and impact assessment support both industry and government by helping to improve services and system performance, increase resource utilization, and lower costs. The programs also contribute to the general field of telecommunications networks in the areas of performance, quality, reliability, and interoperability.
