What's New
The
National server
for the National IPM Network is now on-line, thanks to Mike Spencer and USDA/CSREES.
Have you seen the developing
Florida Agricultural Information Retrieval System (FAIRS). Also look over our Mosaic version of the EPA
"Worker Protection Standard for Agricultural Pesticides - How To Comply"
and
other safety documents
Just for fun... butterfly pictures.
The National IPM Network is a University/Extension/Government/Industry supported WWW system to provide the most accurate urban and agricultural IPM information. The backbone of the NIPMNetwork is four Web Servers located at host institutions serving each of the USDA defined regions (Southern, Northeastern, North Central, and Western) in the US. Within each region, participating institutions are providing state-specific or subject-specific information.
We welcome and encourage the participation of any interested institution.
The involvement of the
commercial sector of the agricultural industry
is particulary important. Please read this
overview
of why your involvement is required.
The information on
this Web Server
deals primarily with pest management in North Carolina.
We would welcome the participation of any individual, organization, institution, or company. Please contact us
if you are interested in helping to develop this innovative and comprehensive pest management information system, or seeing how you can integrate the NIPMN system into your software products.
This is a
DEMONSTRATION PROJECT. Please keep this in mind as you use the system. New material is added frequently and new methods of presenting information are being developed. As a result you may find material or programs that seem incomplete - be patient and revisit in a few days.
