Junk after end of file

When transferring a text file from a microcomputer to a mainframe, sometimes extraneous characters at the end of the file after it arrives on the target system show up. This is because many microcomputers don't have a consistent way of indicating the end of a file. To circumvent this problem, most microcomputer Kermits have commands like SET FILE ASCII, SET FILE TEXT or SET EOF CTRL-Z to instruct Kermit to choose the appropriate format.
