Hurricane Fran started brewing up just before September 96 it hit land on Spetember 4/5th. This 40 frame sequence of infra-red LY images covers the period 1/9/96 to 6/9/96. The animation effect relies on a reasonably high bandwidth link between client and server, apologies to those users who can't get the full effect. Apologies also to those with non-Netscape browsers that don't support server-side push, this page may not work for you. Note that the animation effect will be improved if your browser's image display preference is set to "display after loading".
