Every hour we take the latest D2 image from Meteosat, scale it down to 384x288 and save it to a buffer containing the most recent 24 such images. This page uses that buffer to generate a 24 hour slide show sequence of D2 images, your browser therefore needs no special software to display the sequence. However, the animation effect relies on a reasonably high bandwidth link between client and server, apologies to those users who can't get the full effect. Apologies also to those with browsers (eg IE4) that don't like server-side push, we recommend Netscape browsers. Note that the animation effect will be improved if your browser's image display preference is set to "display after loading". Hit the Reload button to restart the sequence.
