the fine print: All entries received will be property of FairLight. The judges are a panel of FairLight members, and their decisions can not be appealed. All postage will be paid by FairLight. Some items are slightly used, but in fully working condition. No warranty except that the items work when shipped from FairLight. In case there aren't enough entries, FairLight will reserve the right to cancel any and all competitions mentioned above, although extending the deadline will first be considered. FairLight members or members of their families are not allowed to enter, as they are supposed to contriubute to FairLight without any rewards. People who enter with good contributions might be asked to join FairLight, but of course without any obligation to do so. In true good, old FairLight spirit, communists may not join, and are immediately disqualified by their laughable political stance itself. Winners will be announced on this site, and names displayed if agreed to by the winner/s.

THE FAIRLIGHT INTRO Well, it just had to be expected, didn't it? We're looking for someone to reproduce the cult FairLight intro pictured herewith in Java, or some other language that enables people to enjoy this piece of coding across all platforms and browsers! Do the world, and yourself, a favor and make sure this intro lives on way past the old days on the C64! The intro must function exactly as the original one with rasterbars, a scroller and of course the traditional Druid II tune.

GUESTBOOK Yes, we would like to have a guestbook locally on our server, so we can customize the look and feel as well as the features of it more than we can now. It's no fun having to rely on a third party. If you are a CGI wizard, this competition might be for you! The person whose guestbook code and setup we go with will win the prize!

MAILINGLIST A way for visitors to www.fairlight.org to enter or delete (now who would want to do that?) their e-mail addresses in a list to which we will send e-mail updates regarding the FairLight site. A slick interface and foolproof design is required.

610x80 PIXEL LOGO As you look around our site, you will see the need for logos a little here and there. Make one for the Fanzines section, or why not the Comics one? Are you good at graphics? Graphics should be small in size (KB wise), and extremely cool!

400x40 PIXEL BANNER We're a member of the LinkExchange, and need a cool banner to go with our advertisements on there. The banner must be a .gif and no animations or transparencies used. Go to the LinkExchange for more detailed info if needed.
