FairLight cracks!
If you're lucky we'll find a place for all the stuff we've cracked on the c64 over the years, and then we can provide you with an index much like the impressive work Qed has shown on the Triangle homepage. Much more work remains before we have lynxed it all up into usable
format. It's some 280 disks. They are all ported to D64 images, but I refuse to release them
in that shape - it's simply below the dignity of a serious cracker who always took great
pride in producing the best versions around!
- Press this link to obtain a list of the FairLight cracks, tools and demos which I have now saved from the magnetic maggots who killed a few of my really old SKC disks. All credits for this collection goes to Per Ekelund, AKA Gerwin or Rolling Thunder/RT which was his previous handle.
Challenge
Provide me with ONE release with was produced by FairLight, has a FairLight import intro on it or is in any other way closely related to FairLight for some reason!
Prize: Pick any ten diskimages from the updated list! I'd like to congratulate Scroll/Megastyle for hending me four rather new titles I missed. Pick any 40 diskimages Ruben! Your diskimage is now included in the list I hope!
Bacchus' disks
After some stiff work I have ported my collection of disk to the PC. There're almost 900 disks in there which I listed using C64dir by Per Bolmsted - Thanx pal for a highly competent program. I'm looking forward to put the final version online for you!
Press this link to obtain a list Bacchus' disks. What's it good for? So far nothing. As soon as either of the programs for handling C64 files can cope with lynx (I nagged Peter S and Joe F to this :-) and long filenames (which seems a bit far away), I'll proceed in completing a CD of my own!
Programming information
- A very complete documentation to the VIC
, i.e. the graphics chip of the C64. It features EVERYTHING you could possibly
ask for, including descriptions on how to perform some of the more complex
programming tricks frequently used in demos. Text mainly by Christian Bauer,
the author of the great emulator Frodo.
Program manuals
- TurboAssembler, X-asm and TronMon are here
carefully documented by Pontus Berg (me, Bacchus/FairLight) and Micke Olsson
(Tron/FairLight). The text is in Winword6 format.
- TurboAssembler Macro are here documented
by Ralph (Paradroid/The Sharks). The text is in Winword6 format.
Special documents
- Formats is Peter Schepers (author of the excellent conversion program 64Copy) contribution to enlightening us about the structure of the different formats commonly used on the C64 and the emulators. The text has grown covering more and more, so the overview was slightly lost. To solve this, Peter split the file into one file for each format description. What you get here is a ZIp file containing them all. In due time I'll provide a better user interface so you can look up the one you're interested, in stead of getting all of them at one time.
- Project 64
home page This is not an actual document, but a reference to a vast number of documents. It contains the docs for games and c64 related books, including the docs for most of the Commodore devices.
