Thanks for purchasing this CD!  

All programs are divided into folders on this CD.  

KIDPAK SOFTWARE FOLDER - Contains the majority of
 Early Learning programs.  

CYBERPETS FOLDER - Contains various programs featuring 
 animated pets that will interact with your child on your
 computer desktop.  Most of them need to be taken care of
 (fed, etc.) and is a great way to introduce your child to
 the responsibilities of caring for a pet.

DESKTOP THEMES FOLDER - Contains child-related themes for
 your computer & also contains a program for changing them.

SCREENSAVERS FOLDER - Contains animated screensavers your child will
 enjoy.

FOR PARENTS FOLDER - Contains useful programs to make your
 life as a parent much easier!  

LET'S BEGIN!*****************************************************

Every program folder on this CD has a README file that tells you
(if info was available):

  Child's age the program was designed for 
  Whether the program is freeware or shareware 
  System Requirements for program and operating system (WIN 95/98, etc.)

Please read the README file before installing any program to be sure
that you have the proper requirements on your computer for that 
particular program!  Most will run on Windows 3.1, 95/98/NT.  Some will
require more memory than others.


STEP ONE:
***********

If DO NOT have WINZIP or another file compression program on your
computer, please install the WINZIP Program included on this CD.  This 
program is called "WINZIP70.EXE" and is very user friendly for those
people who are new to UnZipping!  

Many programs are in "zip" format, which means they are compressed.
You will need an "unzip" program to open up these files and install
them on your computer.

STEP TWO:

After you have installed the Unzip program, use MY COMPUTER to 
browse through the various programs on the CD.  When you have 
chosen one, double-click on the icon that looks like a "VISE&FOLDER".
This is a "zipped program".  WINZIP will automatically show you
the files that are in the program, unzip them for you, ask you if you
want to read the README file, then it will ask you if you want to 
install it.  WINZIP will do it all for you automatically!

In some cases (but very very rare), extra files or programs may be needed to use a 
particular program.  You will find these files in the "NECESSARY
FILES" folder on this CD.  (The README file will tell you what is 
required for each program).  

STEP THREE:
************

Install Programs that are NOT ZIPPED:

Double-click on the setup/install program icon in the program folder
 you have chosen to install.  

It will either:

 Install itself, or Unzip and prompt you to install.  


DESKTOP THEMES:
If you don't have Windows 95 with Plus! or Windows 98, I have included a
program that will install them and maintain them as well (Desktop Architecture).
They will install when you double-click on them.  To change your
theme, go to CONTROL PANEL and choose the Desktop Theme you just
installed and click Apply (If you have Win98 or Plus!), or just use Desktop
Architecture.  

Cyberpets and Screensavers will also either install automatically
or unzip and prompt you to install.
