| Aveo Inc. believes that Privacy is a very important issue,
particularly with the impact of the Internet on computers. As a result, Aveo’s
proprietary technology, Attune™, is specifically designed to work with all your
personal information residing locally, never leaving your own computer. With Attune,
you receive real-time Intelligram messages on how to avoid or correct known technical
problems before you experience them. Attune’s Dynamic Agenting Technology
is able to receive and separate those messages that are relevant to you, presenting them
at just the right time. Companies can now alert you to problems and conflicts that they
discover after their product has shipped. Attune also allows your technical support relationship with the manufacturer to be maintained, even if you forgot to register. Because the local dynamic agents perform the message filtering, companies can now send messages based on your specific computing situation, while still entirely preserving your privacy. Companies can alert you to these problems in advance and provide you with the necessary information, saving you a great deal of time and trouble in the process. Attune can also be used to deliver relevant non tech-support information to you, such as product upgrade information or the availability of new plug-ins. Attune Relationships Attune can be fine-tuned by using the information in your Relationship Settings. For each piece of information, you can specify whether or not you want to make it available to a specific, listed company. If you choose to make information available, you will receive fewer, more targeted Intelligram messages, as some of the filtering can occur on the company’s server, as opposed to it all being done locally. In either case, you will receive all messages that are relevant to you. Sharing additional information simply makes the system a bit more efficient. To ensure the privacy of your information, the Relationship Settings information you complete for one company is not shared with any of the other companies. Each relationship is secure and private. One thing to note, however, is that Aveo Inc. cannot control what a specific company does with the information once you share it with them, so share with companies you trust. The information in your Relationship Settings is marked private by default, with the exception of any information that you already released to that company while registering for their product. From time to time companies may ask you to share additional information with them, so that they can better tailor their products and services to you. Whether or not you decide to release additional information to them has no bearing on your ability to continue receiving relevant, timely messages through Attune. Aveo’s Privacy Policy Aveo makes products that deliver the right information with absolute privacy. Aveo does not share any information provided by our individual customers without their explicit permission. Aveo does, as a normal course of business, aggregate usage data for statistical purposes and system monitoring.
