I didn't have to worry that someone was going to throw a tantrum, or break into tears all of a sudden. BASHIR (smiles) They usually only do that at staff meetings. Sarina smiles, then continues. SARINA Jack is always talking about how we're better than "normal" people; he says that's why they keep us "locked up." But he's wrong. (saddened by the thought) He couldn't get by in the real world, he'd get himself into too much trouble. So would Lauren and Patrick. BASHIR That's why the Institute's the best place for them. In fact, Doctor Loews wants me to get them back there as soon as possible. A beat as it dawns on Sarina... SARINA I'm not going with them, am I? BASHIR (gently) It's not where you belong. Not anymore. Sarina knows he's right, but even so, the thought of saying good-bye to her friends is painful.
