60   EXT. SPACE - THE BATTLE (OPTICAL)

	The Defiant swoops in among the attacking Birds 
	of Prey, firing its phaser banks. It quickly scores 
	direct hits on two enemy ships. This part of the 
	battle should be fought in close proximity to the 
	station. The Defiant swoops and maneuvers through the 
	pylons, and in and out of the outer ring as it battles 
	the Alliance ships, trying to draw their fire away from 
	the station.

62   INT. DEFIANT - BRIDGE

					O'BRIEN
			A bird of prey has locked onto us.

					SISKO
			Evasive maneuvers. Pattern Delta.

	The bird of prey scores again, causing some damage.

					O'BRIEN
			Pattern Delta? What's that?

	A grim reminder to Sisko that this O'Brien is not a 
	Starfleet-trained officer.

					SISKO
			Rock her, port to starboard!
			Hard.

					O'BRIEN
				(understanding)
			Got it.

	O'Brien works the console, rocking the ship.
