	Odo reacts, and in his distraction, reaches and works
	the panel before getting the codes verified.

	Suddenly, the Turbolift lurches once and goes into a
	free-fall. The LIGHTS start whizzing by faster and
	faster.

					KIRA
			We're falling!

	Odo starts working the Turbolift control panel to see
	if he can stop their fall. Kira slaps her combadge,
	but there's no response, not even a com-beep.

					KIRA
			Kira to Worf.

	She slaps it again, still nothing.

					KIRA
			Someone cut our com-links.

					ODO
				(giving up on the panel)
			The controls aren't responding...

									CUT TO:

41   INT. TURBOLIFT SHAFT (OPTICAL)

	as the Turbolift falls down the tunnel we...
