	forcing it to break off.

101   INT. DEFIANT - BRIDGE

	As the ship rocks from disruptor hits.

			Incoming message from the 
			Cardassian ship.

					SISKO
			Put it through.

	Sisko gets up and makes his way to a nearby monitor.

102   NEW ANGLE (OPTICAL)

	To include Gul Dukat on the monitor. Sisko and Dukat's 
	conversation lacks any of the veiled threats and 
	innuendoes that usually mark their interactions. These 
	are two professional soldiers in the middle of a war 
	and they're speaking quickly and precisely.

					DUKAT 
			I must compliment you, Captain. 
			You're nearly Cardassian in your 
			punctuality.

					DAX
				(in the background) 
			Fire phasers.

	In the background we hear the phasers fire.

					SISKO
				(no time for chit-chat) 
			Dukat, power up your engines and 
			prepare to follow us back to DS-
			Nine.

 					DUKAT
