This old tudor stately scene has taken me approximately 25 hours to build, I build all my own objects and would not use anybody elses unless it has been digitised. All the textures have come from imagines own procedural textures. The red brick texture uses imagines old brick texture adjusted and scaled so i got the size of brick correct in proportion to the stately house. I didn,t realise that i was putting the axis the wrong way around until i had finished the scene, so when i applied the brick texture. The objects axis were in the wrong position so i spent the next half an hour changing all the axis. The clouds were created by applying a ground and then applying and adjusting the cloud texture. The grass was created by applying a green grass colour to a plane and then applying the dirt texture, but instead of having black as dirt i changed the colour to a yellow colour. The sandstone coloured sills again was a sandstone colour applied to the object and the dirt texture applied over the top. There are four lights in the scene main top right, strong fill top left, another fill above the house and one light behind the house to light up the clouds. The scene is quite large at three meg in size, i could of made this smaller but i did not want to cut out any detail close up. I did one test ray trace which took my pentium 120 with 48 meg of ram 1 hour to complete at a resolution of 640*480. The final render took 20 hours and 20 minutes at a resolution of 640*480.
