This models were made for a TV commercial of a stomach remedy brand. I changed only the labels, wich are the only image maps used. The textures used are: Old Brick (wall), Hardwood (table), SoftEdge (spot light) and DripDrop (poured liquid). The bottle and the glass were modeled in the Forms Editor and the spoon was made in the Detail Editor using the Sweep, Slice and extrude functions. The image took four hours to render in a PentiumPro 200Mhz with 64Mb. It was raytraced using depht of field and shadows only from the main spot light. There were other four dimmer lights for filling. At the original animation, the bottle move and bend syncronized to the soundtrack voice, as it is introducing the new plastic cap. To animate the bottle (and the box) I used bones and states.

Personal data:<

I work since 1989 in the computer graphics department of a production house called "TGD Producoes Ltda.", as animation director. Our company also produces film and video commercials. After beeing working with Topas for years, I found the Impulse booth at NAB '95 and was instantly convinced that "everything I always dreamed to do with Topas but couldn't" could be made with Imagine, and this is still true. I am using Imagine since then. There are other two animators working with me, one of them is still using Topas (conservative type), and another one uses Lightwave. We distribute the tasks according to the type of effects and animation needed. I was born in 1962, have degree in architecture and two years of scholarship in traditional animation techniques with teachers from the National Film Board of Canada (1985-86). Before 1989 I made animated films in Super-8 (3), 16mm (1) and 35mm (1), and used computers in some of it only for the credits.
