Pool Area Proposed Townhouse Development Grand Cayman Island in the Carribbean commmissioned by GENESIS Architecture & Engineering, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan>Final rendered image was 2000 x 1366 TIF file. Image rendered on 486 x 80Mhz with 32Mb Ram.

Completed as a series of 4 views this project required extensive staging in order to develop the final images. An 1200 frame animation of this project was also completed using Imagine with a DPS Personal Animation Recorder and recorded to video.

Architectural elements were primarily modelled in Autocad Release 12; exported as DXF files and converted to Imagine objects using Accutrans 3D by Micromouse Productions. Each layer was set as a separate object.

Palm trees and landscaping elements are primarily scanned images from photos and mapped to planes with filter maps and rendered in scene. (Levels of reflection typically 6-7.) Some foreground items are scanned images composited into final image.

Major textures used are Imagine's Color Noise for stucco finishes; Essence hullplate for the pool edge, Essence caustics for the pool sides and bottom, and Essence random ripple texture applied to the water surface.

Lighting is one source light (shadow casting) - 600 intensity; and one infill light - 125 intensity.

Sky is a scanned image and set as backdrop (3000x2000) in Action Editor.

Buildings and other elements in background were setup in Stage Editor in previous frame and rendered separately....the resulting image was then used as a backdrop for the final rendering.
