Chess
This is one of the opening frames in a movie which replays a chess match from the 1830's. The purpose of the movie was to learn the various camera and motion techniques needed for realistic animation. The pieces where modeled and the frames rendered with Imagine 4.0 for DOS. The limitations of my system's memory and my desire to do the movie as close to full frame as possible made it necessary to render all of the frames in 24 bit color, and then assemble them into an .AVI file using Ulead's Media Studio software. The end result, with an added sound track was then download to video in real time via a video encoder. Not the finest quality possible, but acceptable for learning experiments.
