The cave was made from a primitive tube object that was deformed with Applique using a seamless tileable fractal noise image (cylindrical map). It was further shaped with Magnetism, Taper and Scale. Fractal noise images was also used in two layers as Altitude maps. The column and the stalactites were created in the same way as the cave-object. The water is a primitive plane object with the filter and the reflectivity attributes set. The sphere is a light-object that is using the fakely texture and has the fog length set. There are two more lights in the scene, a reddish shadow-casting main light and a dummy light used for the sphere's glow effect (Lensflare halo). The image (640x480) took 9 minutes to render on a Pentium 90 PC.
