Braids
This image was done with the help of a strange little program for the Amiga called Lissa, which is a Lissajous path generator. It allows you to make Open and Closed Spline paths based on editing Polar and Equatorial coordinates of a virtual sphere. The unusual wave patterns on the sides of the cubical center object were done with Morphus. The Essence library of algorithmic textures were used on all the objects. All objects were modeled in Imagine. Rendering time was about two days on an Amiga 3000.
