One of a series of eight proposed homes Turks and Caicos Islands in the Carribbean commmissioned by GENESIS Architecture & Engineering, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Final rendered image was 3000 x 2000 TIF file. Rendered on a Pentium 150 Mhz clone w/ 40Mb Ram. Architectural elements were primarily modelled in Autocad Release 12; exported as DXF files and converted to Imagine objects using Accutrans 3D by Micromouse Productions. Each layer was set as a separate object
Palm trees and landscaping elements were primarily scanned images from photos and mapped to planes with filter maps and rendered in scene. (Levels of reflection typically 6-7.) Bitmap properties set at full brightness value give appearance of indirect uplighting on landscaping
Vehicle is from a series of 3D objects downloaded from various internet sites such as Viewpoint etc
Major textures used are Imagine's Color Noise for stucco finishes; Imagine's Mosaic and Essence FractalC for asphalt; Cylinderhullplate/Hullplate for driveways, Essence Shingles for shingles. The grass is a scanned bitmap repeat mapped to a mesh with ColorNoise added over for a more random appearance
Lighting is combination of spot and point light sources all with diminish intensity and approximately half set as shadow casters
Night sky was creating using starfield with fog and set as backdrop image (3000x2000) in Action Editor
