Vencejo grande y oscuro con llamativo collar blanco. Tamaño: 21-22 cm.; peso: 104 g. Caza insectos en vuelo sinuoso a gran altura. Anida en Cuba, Jamaica, La Española y América Latina. Accidental en Puerto Rico (avistamiento el 21 de julio de 1971 en Vieques). TAXONOMÍA: APODIFORMES; APODIDAE; Cypseloidinae. |
