A bright green parrot with a red face mask and a white forehead. Length: 25-29 cm.; weight: 176-242 g. Audio 3 (R. Rodríguez Mojica). Native to Central America from Mexico to Costa Rica. Has bred in nest boxes at the University of Puerto Rico/ Mayagⁿez, but it is not clear if the population will be self-sustaining.

TAXONOMY: PSITTACIFORMES; PSITTACIDAE; Arinae.
