A small rufous thrush with faint brown spots on the breast. Length: 17 cm.; weight: 30 g. Audio 3 (M. Oberle). Breeds in deciduous forests of the northern USA and southern Canada. Winters in central South America. Accidental migrant in the Virgin Islands and rare on Hispaniola; may eventually be reported from Puerto Rico.
