The familiar pet parakeet, the wild type is green with a yellow head. Length: 18 cm.; weight: 26-29 g. Audio (M. Oberle). Native to Australia, this introduced species is occasionally seen in Puerto Rico, but most individuals are recent escapees rather than birds raised in the wild.
