The ancestor of the domestic chicken, the Junglefowl has been introduced to Mona Island from its native forests in south Asia. Length: males 65-75 cm., females 42-46 cm.; weight: males 672-1,450 g., females 485-1,050 g. Elsewhere in Puerto Rico and Culebra, many are semi-wild, receiving handouts from nearby humans. Audio (M.
