Tree frogs belong to the Hylidae family. They look like toads and have suction cups on their feet that enable them to climb trees and walls. Tree frogs are nocturnal animals and, like toads, the males croak to attract the females. The females lay many eggs in the water. Some time after the eggs have been fertilized by the male they hatch as tadpoles and, as time goes by, they grow into tree frogs. Approximate size: Between 1 and 6 inches long. Favorite food: Insects. Other name: Perereca.
