Stage 1: Select media to distribute your browser

In this panel, you determine where the customized packages will be placed when the wizard is finished. The IEAK always produces a directory where your package will be available for downloading. You can also build packages for CD-ROM or floppy disk distribution.

You can build your customized packages on your hard disk, and then move them to an Internet server or, if you're a corporate administrator, an intranet server. You can also build your packages on the server.

Choosing a destination folder

This is the location where you build your customized package.

Destination folder
You can create the package on your hard disk and move it to an Internet or intranet server, or you can create it on the server.

If you are creating the package on your hard disk or network drive, the recommended destination is C:\Cie\Dist. If you are creating the package on a server that is running from your hard disk, the destination should be the path to the server, plus Cie\Dist\, for example,
C:\Inetpub\Wwwroot\Cie\Dist\.

The destination folder is where the customized packages are created when you complete the wizard. Subfolders for each localized version and the IE4site folder are created in the destination folder you specify.

For example, if you specify your destination folder as
C:\Inetpub\Wwwroot\Cie\Dist,
then the English language version would be created in the
C:\Inetpub\Wwwroot\Cie\Dist\IE4site\EN
folder.

Choosing additional distribution media

If you plan to distribute your packages via downloading only, you do not need to select any of the distribution media options. If you also want to create a customized package on CD-ROM, distribute a single floppy disk, or create multiple floppy disks, then select one of the following check boxes:
