Thank you for trying FaxNow! Lite V2.5.  The following
information is provided to get you faxing quickly.

Installing FaxNow! Lite
=======================

Please ensure that you test your modem prior to installation
of FaxNow! Lite.  Install from the single diskette enclosed
onto the PC/Server that is running Windows 3.x, Windows 95,
with the modem connected.Please note, This version of FaxNow!
does not support Windows NT. You will need to upgrade to FaxNow!
v2.5 full release.


Complete the following steps:
=============================

1. Insert the FaxNow! Lite Disk into your (a:\) drive and
   select "Start/Run".  Enter "a:\setup" and click OK.
2. Select the drive and path where you want FaxNow! Lite
   installed; for example "x:\Faxnow".
3. Select your modem from the drivers listed, or select
   "Unlisted Class x" if your modem is not shown.
4. Select the Comm Port that your modem is attached to.
5. If your modem is connected to a direct line, leave the
   "Dial Prefix" dialogue box empty.  If you must dial a
   number to obtain an outside line, enter the number,
   followed by a comma to force the modem to pause before
   dialling.  Click 'OK'.
6. Enter your details in the six edit boxes, then confirm
   the details are correct by clicking 'OK', or 'Cancel'
   to go back.

Congratulations

You have successfully installed FaxNow! Lite.  Please read
on for a quick run down of Sending, Receiving & Viewing Faxes.

** Sending, Receiving & Viewing Faxes **

Your first fax
==============
From your Start button, select 'Programs - FaxNow! - Fax Manager.
To enable incoming faxes, click the right mouse button on the
Incoming Faxes queue and select 'Pause'.  This will put FaxNow!
Lite into Auto Answer mode.  To send a quick cover page only fax
from Fax Manager press F9 to select Express Fax.

Send a fax from other applications
==================================
When you are ready to fax, select your applications' print
options, select FaxNow! as your printer.  Enter the details
of where you wish to send your fax and press 'Send'.  Your fax
will be placed onto the outgoing fax queue.

Receiving Faxes
===============
When Fax Manager receives a new fax, select either 'Play Sound',
'Flash Icon' & 'Bring to Top' to notify users.  To automatically
print a hard copy of a new fax, select the 'Print hard copy' option
located under 'Settings-Fax Manager'.  Also located here are the
options for background operation, so while sending, receiving &
printing, your PC will run as normal.

Viewing Faxes
=============
To view a fax, click the right mouse button on the item and
select 'View'.  The Fax Viewer application will automatically
open.  Options from the File toolbar allow you to re-fax using
FaxNow! Lite, or simply print out your fax.

Phonebook
=========
Enter your frequently used fax contacts in the Phonebook.
Either press Add to input records, or import any CSV formatted
database by selecting 'File-Import-ANSI Records'.  Phonebook
also allows you to find entries quickly, searching by either
Forename, Surname or Company, and also select the groups to
search in.

Coverpage
=========
FaxNow! Lite provides a standard Coverpage for you.  All
the fields you complete in the Send dialogue box appear on
your coverpage including your message.  Instructions on how
to change the design of your coverpage are available on the
RedRock web site or direct from RedRock Technical Support.

** Useful Tips **

Drag & Drop
===========
From Windows Explorer, drag & drop the document that you
want to fax onto FaxNow! Lite Fax Manager.  This will open
the documents' application (for example *.doc will open
Word) and open the FaxNow! Lite address box.  Select your
destination and press Send.  FaxNow! Lite will add your
document to the outgoing fax queue, close the application
it open and restore your default print driver.

Open Fax Viewer & Phonebook from within Fax Manager
Simple click the right mouse button at the top of the
window, select Run-Fax Viewer or Phone Book.  This will
save you having to press Start-Programs-FaxNow! Lite-Fax
Viewer.

Changing your Fax Modem
=======================
From Fax Manager Server press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F8 together
and the change modem box will appear.  Select the modem
you wish to use and click OK.  Fax Manager Server will
close for the change to take effect, and when you restart
Fax Manager Server (no need to re-start Windows) your new
driver will be working.  Please do not re-install FaxNow!
Lite every time you want to change your modem.
