ConnectPal Professional v6.4 connectpal.com ConnectPal Professional enhances Windows 95/98 Dial-Up Networking by adding auto-redial, cost management, anti-idling, and more. It runs as a handy system tray icon, providing a user-friendly interface for connecting to the Internet and managing different connection profiles. It can automatically redial busy numbers, enter your log-on password, and hit the Connect button for you. You can schedule online connections and disconnections and auto-launch up to five programs once connected. ConnectPal Pro also includes a Ping feature (to prevent your ISP from disconnecting you) and connection cost management, complete with over-spending warnings. Its Internet toolbox can be used to retrieve information regarding your connection. The tools include GetHost, which enables you to retrieve IP addresses from URLs, as well as Finger and Whois, which are used to retrieve information about a user on a specific host. You can even use ConnectPal Pro to monitor your email server for new messages. And as if all that isn't enough, an additional (though unrelated) feature enables you to add up to 10 of your favorite programs to a system tray menu for easy access. Online help is included.
