Quechua Language Homepage

Quechua is an indigenous language of the Andean region, spoken by approximately 13 million people in Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, northern Chile, Argentina, and southern Colombia. It was the official language of the Tawantinsuyu, the Inca Empire. This page provides an excellent introduction to this language, making it ideal for projects and reports on the people that live in this region of South America. The page contains some introductory lessons (more are being added), which would allow you to include excellent examples of the language as part of your presentation. The page is in English.
