Puerto Rico

The Puerto Rico page at LANIC offers a good section on art and culture in Puerto Rico. There are a variety of interesting links that include the Chupacabra Home Page offering information on this mysterious character, La Danza Puertorriqueña and a link to the Taino Indian Culture Museum. This last page is especially valuable in teaching students about this Caribbean Indian culture. There are extensive histories and photos of the artifacts in the museum. There are also a number of links to daily newspapers and other periodicals in Spanish. The other resources section offers good links to information on forests and additional Puerto Rico sites. The site as well as most of the links are in both Spanish and English.
