Casa de Chupacabra

Chupacabra, a popular "mythical" creature, received its name because of its practice of attacking livestock (especially goats cabras in Spanish) and sucking (chupa) their blood. They leave marks on the necks of the animals and nothing else. This page helps you understand the legends of the chupacabras and the different national versions of the legend. There are chupacabra songs, poems, and downloadable pictures. The chupacabra legend would make for an interesting project on Hispanic folklore and culture. The site is entirely in English.
