The Aymara Page

Aymara is a native language spoken by approximately two million people in the Andes of Bolivia, Peru, and northeastern Chile. This is the region surrounding Lake Titicaca. This page provides a history of the Aymara people (most are bilingual in Aymara and Spanish) and their culture and traditions. The page has links to sites where you can learn the language or more about other cultures and music in the Andes region. The page is in English; some of the links are in Spanish. If you are preparing a project or report on the people and languages of the Andean countries, you'll find this a valuable site.
