Women Come to the Front

This Web site explores the activities of women journalists, photographers, and broadcasters during World War II. The Second World War offered new opportunities for women to show what they were capable of in the news world. This site focuses on eight women who were chosen because of the strength and variety of their work. A brief biography of each woman and samples of her work can be found here.
